CONSTRUCTION UPDATE!
Please note that the lane closures and changes in the Maintenance of Traffic (MOT) plan from First Street/ Palm Avenue to Kennedy Drive have been postponed until Monday, July 30, 2012.
The Florida Department of Transportation, and the project contractor, the deMoya Group realize the impact new lane shifts and traffic patterns can have on local businesses and that it takes the driving public time to get accustomed to new driving patterns.
With thousands of people and vehicles coming to the Keys next week for Lobster Mini Season, FDOT and the deMoya Group, have postponed implementation of the lane closures and MOT changes that were scheduled to begin on July 23, 2012. As a result, no new traffic pattern changes or lane closures will be implemented until after this important tourist event.
